Do Not Sell or Share My Info
California’s CCPA as amended by the CPRA, and comparable laws in other US states, give you the right to stop your personal information being ‘sold’ or ‘shared’ for cross-context behavioural advertising. This page explains how that applies to playmessy.com and how to exercise the right.
What Is Actually Involved
We do not sell your personal information for money, and we never have. What can happen is narrower: where advertising is served on this site, advertising cookies and device identifiers may be made available to advertising partners. The statutory definitions of ‘sale’ and ‘sharing’ are wide enough to capture that arrangement, so we treat it as opt-out-able rather than argue about the label.
It applies across the whole of playmessy.com and to every reader of our coverage of messy and sensory play for children roughly birth to four.
What Changes
After you opt out, targeted advertising ceases but advertising may not. The site itself is unchanged — no content is locked, no feature is removed, and no reader is disadvantaged for having exercised the right.
Turning This Off
Pick a route. Global Privacy Control in your browser is honoured automatically by this site — that alone is sufficient. Otherwise use the cookie consent banner where it appears, or email hello@playmessy.com, subject ‘Do Not Sell or Share’. An account is never required to opt out.
Full detail on state privacy rights, including access and deletion, is in our State Privacy Notice.
